Press Reviews "Wang inc's Bartolomeo Sailer, Inter Mailand Fan, nennt sich nicht umsonst Bart. Irgentwie scheinen die Simpsons bei aller immer wieder aufgefrischten Lebensaufideologie viel zu oft zu kurz zu kommen. In den vier Traks, die hier neuen Wind auf das Mouse on Mars Label bringen, hoert man die einfluesse aber ueberdeutlich. Bart liebt es konkret zu werden und duerfte in Kuerze ueberall als der einzig wuerdige italiaenische Nachfolger von Herbert gefeiert werden. Sounds wie sie in der Luft liegen kombiniert er mit verdrehten aus Synthetisern gepressten Melodien und laesst daraus Traks fuer den Dancefloor werden, der immer erst noch erfunden werden muss, damit sich die Geschichte elektronischer Musik auch gelohnt hat. Albernes Atmen, klockern, gerede, klirend weckerartige Gerausche mit einem leichtten Mikrophonhall, digital auseinandergezerrte Sounds, die sich zwischen den Bassdrumms in kleinen Fraktalen spiegeln, und wie nebenbei pastoral jazziges wirbeln in den Tracks sehr praezise und fast schon halluziniert klar durcheinander und finden sich zu absurd kickenden Bassdrums zum tanzen zusammen. Sehr heitere, immer wieder klar die Realitaeten durchscheinen lassende Tracks, die trotzt Naehe zu, wie schon gesagt, Herbert, oder villeicht Autechre aehnlichen Stuecken sehr eigen bleiben. Man wird noch viel von Wang Inc hoeren. Soviel ist sicher. Und wenn man sich ueber ihn [..]lacht, dann ist er der erste, der dabei ist."BLEED on DE:BUG_______________________________________________________"Gran bell' esordio questo 12" di Wang Inc alias Bartolomeo Sailer nato a Vipiteno ma residente da diversi anni a Bologna. Oltretutto a pubblicarlo è la prestigiosa Sonig etichetta personale dei Mouse on Mars! Bart come noi lo conosciamo si è fatto apprezzare al Link di Bologna come Dj, (ha suonato accanto ad Autechre e Mouse on Mars) anzi Dj Ecologico come ama farsi chiamare con cenno appena peovocatorio, che evita cioè l'inquinamento sonoro della tipica dance music, per catturare invece i suoni "concreti" del reale. Ma quali suoni? Suoni poveri come quelli dei manufatti industriali, separati dal loro contesto originario e sucessivamente processati e ricontestualizzati nel laboratorio e nelle mani di Wang Inc assumono un'altra identità, perdono la loro referenzialità e diventano materia organica., materia sonora su cui riflettere e perchè no muoversi. Le sette tracce del disco non sono infatti estranee all' idea della più intelligent technodance degli ultimi anni ma sono altrettanto efficaci come oggetti sonori per la mente. Tre di queste poi: Plastic Miracle, Bye Bye Little Floppy e Metal Miracle sono registrate in loop che a seconda del vostro tempo e stato d'animo potete ascoltare all' infinito. So the first item, sounding like a loop of crackling polystyrene, wont' take you any further than the edge of the vinil. Drawing on interests in Russolo and musique concrète, Sailer makes music out of sounds captured from industrial materials, here concentraiting on plastic and metal. He produces tinny mechanical noises and springy emphatic loops, like fingers drumming on plastic.
