Artist History
Michael Winger established himself as a songwriter and touring artist with Athens,GA powerful alt-pop quartet Dayroom. The band broke up in February of 2000, but the day after that group's last show, he locked himself in his house and began recording his debut solo album, the Modern World. Shortly thereafter, he began playing all over the country with tours of the west coast and the northeast. After returning from a month long trip to India where he gathered samples for use on his next album, he performed at the CMJ music marathon this past October and continues to tour nationwide. His album "the Modern World" is available on Global Head Records. |
