Artist History
Bill and Jon first linked up for the formation of the band Liquid Flame, an undiscovered (but amazing) first-effort progressive rock gem in the late 80's. Later, they both went off into seperate alternative and mainstream ventures. But they were compelled to occasionally meet and record some experimental demos. They would also discuss the eventual formation of an experimental collective musical project to perform and record similar works. The recordings posted here represent a few of their periodic experiments during the 90's which allowed them to excercise their more avant-garde tendencies. Now, Bill and Jon form the creative nucleus of the (already-legendary) experimental band, UNI which is currently recording, performing, and lurking just beneath the surface in the Los Angeles underground. Some of these Knight/Mattox demos are the actual seedlings which evolved into current material which is being performed and recorded by UNI. |
