Artist History
Howlin' Wolf began as a radio personality, advertising his music locally, which caught the ear of Sam Phillips, who first recorded Howlin' Wolf in 1951. He theAn went on to record for Chess in Chicago for many years to come. The Wolf has played with just about every legend of his time, from Willie Dixon to the Rolling Stones. Many of Dixon's songs such as "Little Red Rooster" and "I Ain't Superstitious" became standards for Howlin Wolf and then became standards in the Blues community. |
