    Artist History
Like Athena springing forth from the head of Zeus in ancient mythology, the members of DESTINATION: EARTH! emerged from the wreckage of their downed alien spacecraft fully formed. By incorporating elements of instro, surf, and spy music with those of genres not yet invented, the band has succeeded in creating a sound uncommon within the current musical spectrum. DESTINATION: EARTH! first arrived on the Third Planet in early 1999. Following a slew of diversionary live performances, the crew released a self-titled debut EP and a line of action figures (both, alas, no longer available). In early 2000, DESTINATION: EARTH! released their debut full-length disc, "Trapped In Hyperspace With...," as well as a full-length animated video, "Agents of S.H.A.D.O.W." Both projects were adored by fans and critics alike, and DESTINATION: EARTH! proceeded to grace the pages of dozens of international publications, including genre standouts such as The Continental, Pipeline Magazine, and New Gandy Dancer, among others. Several compilation releases followed, distributed by labels such as Double Crown, Murk Ta, Deep Eddy, and Bosschief. The band's followup full-length disc, "Adventures In Newspace," was released in August, 2001.
