Artist History
Carpediem started out in Bradford, just a few mates getting together to play some tunes. A couple of years and several line ups later the real Carpediem have stood up and are creating some rich new sounds. The music itself has many influences across a wide range of styles and emerges as a new blend of brit pop / indie withsome interesting twists. As the Carpediem evolves, so does their distinctive sound. The lyrics are written on the challenging aspects of life from a christian angle and reflections on life with God. Whatever your take on the lyrics, their most attractive feature has to be that they are genuine and are born out of real life experience.

Over the last four years the band have played to audiences between 10 and 3000, in places ranging from pubs, youth centres, night clubs & open air arena's.Carpediem (at that time 6 members, 7 if you include the playstation) entered the studio in March 1999. What happened was all too crazy to put into print but in short, the drummer nicked off after a couple of hours (part-timer), Kev forgot the remote to tune in the play station, Mark came back with another tele, Woo Hoo! Some tracks were laid down, two clever people called Sam laughed, many bonbons were consumed and we got attacked by a killer mouse: The end result; dotcomculture :D |
