Artist description CEO of Wizoo, a group of two companies: Wizoo Publishing is a company where we publish a broad range of music technology books by high profile authors such as Craig Anderton, Mark Wherry, Claudius Bruese. Wizoo Sound Design - co-owned by Steinberg Media Technologies - is our sound design branch creating high quality sample libraries (CD-ROMs, online portal www.wizoosounds.com) and VST instruments (The Grand, Virtual Guitarist) released through Steinberg and providing sampled instruments for major hardware manufacturers. Almost all sounds used in creation of the songs presented on this page are from our VSTis, Wizoo CDs, wizoosounds.com and my own patches created on the synthesizers listed.

Artist History Born 1964, I started working in a big studio as a hired keyboardist, sound-designer, arranger and producer when I was 19. At the age of 23 I wrote my first book (a german book on DX7 programming) and started to review for music tech magazines - both of which lead to 13 music technology books, and 11 years as reviewer and workshop author for german KEYBOARDS magazine. I still run my column "Soundforum" in both german KEYBOARDS and US KEYBOARD mags today. I worked as a consultant for synthesizer and music software manufacturers and did sound design on various synthesizers. Selection: Clavia (Nord Modular sound design, Nord Lead III sound design), Kawai (K5000 consulting and sound design, MP9000 origination, concept and sound design), Waldorf (Wave - sound design, CD-ROM, promotion record), Yamaha (W7/5 sound design, FS1R sound design), Roland (Session board demo song), Emagic (EXS-24 - consulting, sound design). Today I mainly initiate, co-develop and manage our VST instruments released by Steinberg - such as The Grand or Virtual Guitarist.
