    Artist description
The Pleasure Corps, comes from the tattered burnedout structures of a city that thrives on passion, romance, sex and dance. The music is a funky blend of electronic pop with vocals that laugh in despair and cry with delight. The Pleasure Corps membership reached the 10,000 mark in February of 2000 and its ranks are swelling with friends that share the sacred creed: Music is the Universal Language and I use it to explore vision, wisdom, hope, love, joy, passion, lust, grace, faith, courage, abundance, and energy. The Pleasure Corps.' live performances are no less than stunning. Pop mastery without the locked choreography of most of todays bands. At Whilton college the people were swinging from the chandeliers and chanting: PC!PC!PC! The police finally had to come in and break up the worlds biggest orgy with fire hoses filled with mace. The band made it to its helicopter in the knick of time, but were arrested the following day for disturbing the freaks that wanted to make love in pure silence. The core members of the group are Jason Barbaree and Jordan Church with members of Soul Food joining them in stadiums around the world. Drummer Jerome Parson is one of the top twelve drummers in the world right now! Jason Barbaree invented the Haxxax Synthesizer with two transister radios and a tweed jacket. Singer Jordan Church invented the oral ta-tit twirl in the bedroom of a famous polititcians daughter. Dive into the music because that's what is most important. As Kelean Parthow has said, "I wish the world could be smooth and just groove, I wish that love would win not lose, I wish that woman would never wear shoes, and I wish the things said above about The Pleasure Corps were all really true, and not something to just look cool-on a website" Dive into the music because that's what is most important.

The world changed that night and I could never be mistaken about that which thrilled my lover and I. When I walked into the auditorium I was humming a seventies song my parents would have known, "14 joys and a will to be merry" -it doesn't matter now. An old saying says that a rut is a coffin with the ends kicked off. The Pleasure Corps blasted me from the worst rut of my life and set me on my feet again. The opportunity to let go and live, to be open and sensuous and free. My lover was fed up with me before that but ever since I have been a pillar of strength - a beacon of hope. There is a life and a love. Do not heed my words for it is an opinion scattered across the web like a little child lost. Listen to the music for yourself and discover an awesome band.-T.
