    Artist description
Strangers As Heroes straddle the line between a hyperactive melodic punk band and a seasoned indie rock outfit. They are too rock and roll to be coined ‘emo’, yet their songwriting and frequent tempo changes and the use of Moog keyboards and synthesizers lend them to fall closer to that niche than to a straight ahead punk rock band. Similarities between bands like Weezer, Superchunk, and the Jazz June are bound to be drawn, but they’re certainly not to be written off as a clone of one or more of these. These five songs have depth and emotion, and they’re brought to the table with energy. -What Else? Records www.whatelserecords.com

    Press Reviews
"This is not a result of chemistry" "....their second EP is a driving testament to innovation in rock music. There is an un-compromised energy that comes through the recording. The vocals, guitars and drumming are tight and explosive, truly conveying the youthful exuberance of a live performance. Strangers as Heroes champion a new sound that has put "the rock" back into an otherwise whiney and formulaic pop-punk genre..."-Andre Hoilette, The Guardian Jan 2001
