Think Neil Young or the Byrds and then filter it through the punk rock/DIY attitude, sprinkle on a little noise ala Pussy Galore and then add some nice fuzz on top. There ya go. |

Artist History
Spiral Arms started in 1999 when John hooked up with Christine and then Michael (or the other way around?). John and Christina knew each other through Randy Metz, the other guitar player in one of John's previous bands, the Sawdust Caesars. John and Michael met through the Recycler, amazingly enough. The band was first called Spirit Ditch (ripped that one off from a Sparklehorse song) and then Blood Flower (snaked that one from Royal Trux - BEFORE the friggin' Cure named their album Blood Flowers). John used to be in the Sawdust Caesars, Manifold, American Whore. Christine used to be in Snake Oil, Quackenbush and another bunch of bands whose names I forget. Michael used to be in Overcoat and some other bands whose names I also forget... After being out of action for a little while due to Michael's broken collarbone, we're ready to rock and looking for shows in the LA area. When John and Christina parted ways, Christina asked if John would rename the band and John said okay, so now we're called Satellyte. Check the Satellyte page, which is accessable from the Links page. |
