Artist description
An ever-evolving musician, Nick Alt's new album "Transit" explores a host of themes, from a futuristic journey into the subconscious, to understanding the methods of betrayal, and finally probing the perils of unconditional love.
The engaging performer, Nick entertains audiences with his original sounding live performances at various venues in and around Los Angeles. Whether solo behind his 70's Rhodes piano, or with his 4-piece ensemble, there is always an air of mysterious fun that he brings to every show.
Starting in 2001, Nick dedicated his energies to forming a non-profit record label called Marymount Records. Nick not only executive produced the project, but wrote, recorded, and mixed original songs for 10 artists to raise money for various charities. The compilation CD entitled "Where the Voice Grows" (released in November 2002) was well received, bringing in a high volume of sales.
A new and engaging artist; a profoundly original sound, and a no-nonsense producer, Nick Alt has built a loyal global following of listeners eager for a break in the conventional audio mainstream.
