Artist History
Bobb Amidon first became mixed up in this whole music thing in high school as a DJ spinning synth pop, industrial and alternative dance music. This was around 1989, a few years before this whole "Who wants to be a DJ" thing happened. Gradually Bobb found his way into the house/rave scene, and spent the next 8 years spinning at underground house parties, as well as many SF Bay Area clubs, and raves around the USA. He also pulled a 3 year stint as a Radio DJ at KSCU FM doing a DJ mix show spinning house, techno, trip-hop, drum and bass, and ambient music. One thing led to another, and Bobb began making his own music, and remixing for others. Several projects under various names were born from this. Malnoia is his latest effort. Bobb is presently working at a prominent digital audio company, and studying software engineering with a concentration in music. Malnoia is currently working with San Jose's Subterreign Media to produce music for television and independent film and seeking to appear on electronic music compilations. |

Press Reviews
Downbeat listening grooves blend with an ample amount of intellect to satisfy San Francisco electronic stylists. Bay Area-based artist turns out gently urgent grooves that mix up think-breaks, mind-expanding melodies and foggy synth textures. - Melissa P. (Listen.com) |
