Artist description
Lytrix is a Dutch producer which believes in creating music that moves you and creates a feeling or emotion. The music must be a climaxing experience and can make you fly away. Lytrix' style can be seen as a mix of big beats, trip hop, tekno and jazz. Most songs have undergone a dance point of view. This because of the urge to perform on stage at festivals. All the beats are home-made and NOT ripped of some CD or record, which is happening with a lot of dance bands. This is one of Lytrix' essential goals. |

Artist History
I've started performing in 1995 under the name of EMO, together with my friend Onno Hoogesteger. We played several gigs in local youth centers and pubs, like: Brogum, Midgard, Kalasjnikov, 't Beest, etc. We also took part in a contest "De Zeeuwse Belofte" in 1996. In September 1997 EMO was buried, because the both of us wanted to go on in different kind of styles. Therefore I continued making more experimental music under the name of ‘Lytrix’. The greatest high was participating in a contest called: ´´De Grote Prijs van Nederland´´ This event was held in Paradiso Amsterdam, which is the rocktemple of Holland. |

Press Reviews
On the 27th December of 1997 Lytrix won the 'Zeeuwse Popprize for Best Dance-Act 1997'. The jury described my music as follows:"Filmic dance music with a good, climaxing buildup. Good drumloops and rythms. An act with potention." |
