Artist description
Straight outta Orange County, California, no holds-barred comes Lickwid X. When they\rquote re not being hassled by cops, fighting traffic tickets, or waking up hung over at the beach, the boys from Lickwid X (LX) are working the crowd at every one of their shows. For OC's LX, the show has always been the priority. You know, jumping off 5-foot stages, getting freaky with girls while performing, dumping s%$*t on each other, that kind of stuff. At one show, Red was so pumped he ran his head through the back stage wall for the grand finale-the crowd went nuts. Oh, and once HT was going-off so much that he almost threw up on the side of the stage! You never know what they\rquote ll be wearing or what theme their show will have. The point is LX keeps the crowd entertained and moving-they take their show as serious as their music. |

Artist History
Promoting their Demo CD and expanding their fan base has kept LX busy. Their music is featured on the upcoming Motion Picture "DEAD AIR." They were selected Best L.A. band by KROQ Programing Directors and Executives during iCast's Land your Band Contest. San Diego's TV show "Planet X" has also featured LX music. Local Press such OCN News, O.C. Register, and The Times have all done stories on LX. Additionally, LX continues to be the most popular O.C. college band delivering powerful/memorable performances. These and other projects such as Farmclub and MP3.com have kept the band active and occupied. The highlights of this year have no doubt been LX's performances alongside bands like Papa Roach, Green Day, and L.B.D.A.S. at the Anaheim Pond Warped Tour 2000. Additionally, they performed for Metallica, KoRn, Powerman 5000, and Kid Rock fans at the L.A. Coliseum Summer Sanitarium Tour. They also continue to open for national acts such as Brougham and Vanilla Ice. But for the success hungry guys at LX,s just the beginning. Currently, the band is working with big names like Warren G in producing new music. They're also negotiating with several big record company scouts. They plan to maintain their in-your-face strategy till their name is in Lights. |
