Artist History
Motown. But this is the bombastic combination of Motown soul and funk with the psychedelic feel of the late 60's and 70's. "What" you ask?!? Picture Jefferson Airplane getting together with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and you've got Jackie Blue in a nutshell.
Mysterious and reclusive, few know what they do during the day. What the hell do they look like you ask? Who can say. Check out a show and find out. What do they sound like? Some say Carrie is channeling Grace Slick, Chris and Rick were formerly in Led Zeppelin, and Tom is Flea's brother...but what do we know.

Press Reviews
Jam Rag Magazine, by Mark Clark
"[Jackie Blue] released their very impressive debut CD, Behind Me, last year. The CD has ten tracks that funk with an attitude. My favorite tracks are Detroit Queen, Shame, G, and the alt country rocker I.B. Waltz Virginia. The band is currently in the studio working on a new CD to be released this fall."
Michigan Artists, by XIT187, Michigan, USA
"Jackie Blue obviously brings many years of experience to the drawing board. Songs like Detroit Queen & G shine more talents than most of their influences (Lenny Kravitz, Korn, Sly & the Family Stone, Aerosmith, Pretenders). These songs will leave you singing over & over for days."
Detroit Queen, by BoggieDave from Birmingham, West Midlands, UK
"A well-written and well-produced track. I can see an audience in Ronnie Scott's really identifying with this tune. The song is evocative of smoke-filled rooms with funky young things, drinks in hand, strutting around on the dance floor. A good strong number which demonstrates potential for greater things."
Shame, by SmellyFuzz, Amityville, New York, USA
"This Led Zep sounding band has great potential. This is a cool, sit back and smoke your bone tune."
I.B. Waltz, Virginia, by neverending, Portland, Oregon, USA
"What a fun little song! Contrary to what I'm sure other reviewers are saying, I LOVED the "soundscape" that surrounds the piece. It's very effective and adds dimension."
