Artist History
The band’s first album, entitled Love and Freedom, has been featured on the prominent Pittsburgh radio stations 105.9 “The X” and 91.3 “WYEP”. Phillip Harris of Pittsburgh Magazine writes, “…Love and Freedom is a cool journey into the bluesy slow-groove world …intense with mellow passion.” Two songs from Love and Freedom were selected for the soundtrack of the film “Selling In” – a work produced by Shooting Spree Films (Los Angeles, California) and independent filmmaker Dan McCarthy.
On August 11, 2001, GBE released its second album entitled up against a worldwide illusion. The new album reflects the southern influences garnered from performances in Memphis and Nashville. Banjo and resophonic guitar have been added to the band’s musical palette.
