Press Reviews
Now appearing weekly near the dumpster behind the Pizza Hut. Also doing Special Music for The Possum Handling Church on Snake Hollow Road.(But only on Sundays, the possum makes it across the road.)BUT ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE: HERE IS A REVIEW THAT WAS DONE BY TOM HEYMAN ON LISTEN.COM This singer-songwriter has a soulful, nasal tenor voice which he uses to sing smart, funny songs that look back to the Outlaw Country scene for inspiration. There is a strong underpinning of blues in the material, and it is delivered with an offhand, unhurried ease that calls to mind J.J. Cale or Steve Young. The playing is downright sloppy by today's airtight Nashville standards, and this is a breath of fresh air which lends potency and character to the material. Tom H. |
