Artist History
Since it's inception over a year ago, Dryft has accompolished exactly what it set out to do: rock as hard as possible, whenever and wherever possible and get their music into the hands of music fans all over the world! Playing everywhere from New York to New Hampshire to places in and around Boston, Dryft takes every oppurtunity to present their music very seriously. Whether they're headlining downstairs at the Middle East in Cambridge or playing to a couple of friends at their practice space in Brighton, Dryft never lacks the energy and excitement inherent in their music. Dryft is made up of 4 members from the Boston area: Matt Gibbons on vocals, Brian Wanders on guitars, John Ward on drums and Dave Trombley on bass. When Matt and Brian's band broke up in April of '99, they joined forces with John and Dave. After trimming the fat, this band would later become Dryft. Through the help of the internet Dryft has been able to pick up fans from all corners of the globe. The song "Point4" was #1 on their local Mp3.com charts and their first completely self-produced demo has been shipped all over the country. Now, with the completion of their new 4-song CD, Dryft has even higher expectations. But no matter what happens, they'll always stick by the number one rule when it comes to music... just have FUN!!! |
