    Artist History
In August, 1997, The Koln based, ElectroChemicalResearch label took the initiative in commissioning a series of audio experiments based around the Voltaic ATP-36 process. The first of these was the transcription of seven digitally encoded algorithms known as, SHOCKWAVE (Catalog no. BN508). Shortly after, a series of single experiments appeared on several European compilations. (See below) As of March 2000,[UNIT] records has licensed the first official U.S. release of Voltaic. This is known as SHOCK/EMISSION (catalog no. [u01]). Over the next few years, many other electronic authorities will join together in the research into the ongoing phenomenon of Voltaic and the ATP-36 process. For more info contact: info@voltaic.co.uk

    Press Reviews
Sideline March 2000: Voltaic really heats things up with this exciting the new release from Alexis Charalambous known for his work in FRACTURE. Now, Voltaic is currently his main project, and it is by far some of the best dark, techno trance and noise music rising out of this genre.Remote Induction 2000: We seem to be going through a run of appearances on compilations by Voltaic recently, and here we have the Skeletal mix of Metabolise - another excellent track from this band.New Empire 2000: Great ambient sounds meet dark beats, my favorite track Voltaic - Metabolise = Technoid and dancableDigimusic 2000: On the Exoskelleton2 compilation, Voltaic, Primortal, Pain Könsept, K.T.O.W. Every track is great, with no tension fallings, no dead points, no mercy! The result is over two hours of smashing, straight-in-yer-face sounds, ass on fire & walls coming down (sounds like Armageddon, hehe...)! Can describe otherwise the relentless aggression contained in these seemingly harmless plastic discs! A-w-e-s-o-m-e!
