Artist History
Intense, uplifting and aggressive - just a few words that describe the feral intensity that is Subvert. Hailing from Norwich, the quartet picked up their instruments back in 1997 with one sole intention - an honest need to create music with real emotions. Without resting on their laurels and waiting for major labels to come to their assistance, Subvert took things on themselves to write, record and tour wherever and whenever possible. Consequently since Subvert's first appearance on the debut release of the now infamous Lockjaw Records' 'Helping You Back To Work' compilation series, the noisecore purists have racked up a number of releases before the release of their full-length debut' Assisted Suicides'. Tours with Charger, Strapping Young Lad, Unsane and Labrat - now signed to Lostprophets' label, Visible Noise - have ensued and has seen the band witness an ever growing fan base through their colossal, heavy and no-bullshit live shows. With the Labrat tour, Subvert also proved themselves on CD, with 1000 split CDs sold on the said 40-date UK/Irish tour. Now in a world ready for real, stripped-down no bullshit rock, the time has come for Subvert. There's only one question remaining... Are you ready? |
