    Artist History
Nick and Dakota first met at an AA meeting back in 1986. They immediately became friends and went out to have a few drinks to celebrate. Fast forward to 1996. After being in several bands including Monksindrag, The Dangerfields, Slavic Core, Tribal Core, One Must Fall, and Genesis of the Immortal, Dakota and Nick formed the musical powerhouse that is Stationary Wong. After months of continuous practice and the founding of The Hot Spot(tm), Stationary Wong recorded Buff? a nine song LP released in 1997. After playing a record release party at Games 'n' More, Stationary Wong went on a sabbatical. They wanted to make room for some of the more promising local bands, such as Chaotic Tranquility and The Omnipotent Custodians. When returning from their sabbatical, Stationary Wong found themselves playing at Games 'n' More 2, oddly enough. Though the show was a rousing success, the band's lack of groupies forced their break up. Then, in the spring of 2000, Dakota found the original master of Buff? and after getting the rights from the original record company, is giving them out free of charge on the internet for the enjoyment of everyone who didn't get a chance to hear them in their glory days. After after after (figured it wasn't said enough here)
