Artist description
When SAD HARMONY started to play they sounded a little bit like a Czech reply to British legendary moody metallers Paradise Lost. Why not - the natives from Halifax were on the top of their popularity and the guys from South Moravia could play very well. But much of water have flowed through rivers since that time. Paradise Lost are in different musical areas and the same situation is by SAD HARMONY. First time the band showed the new direction with the demo tape "Astray" (1998). The typical doom metal arrangements were changed for more relaxed alternative neo-doom rock that is characterized with exciting guitars vibrations, bubbling bass, exact drumming and interesting vocal lines. SAD HARMONY adds as bonus experiments with ethno music (e.g. Middle Asia folklore) and that´s the reason why the final result recorded on debut album "Elektrula" is so remarkable and colourfull. Musicians from South Moravia are getting ripe as fast as the tasty wine of their region. So that we can look forward to their next albums and…in the meantime…cheerzzz!!! |
