Artist History
"Initially, I thought it would be cool to right a Christmas song," says Ryan Brown. That desire culminated in a time of soul-searching and an album entitled 'The Life and Times of Jesus the Christ'. "I've attempted to set aside my preconceptions regarding Jesus," continues Ryan, "and have tried to rediscover the person of Jesus as the scriptures truly present him. This album is an attempt to discard the filter of 2000 years of Christian tradition and discover the man who was Jesus." 'The Life and Times of Jesus the Christ' was originally recorded over two years ago but has enjoyed quiet longevity. In the past two years, Ryan has toured nationally twice and shared stages with the likes of Mike Roe, Randy Stonehill, Jars of Clay, The Lost Dogs, and many others. Additionally, the album, originally released on the Phoenix based indie 'Worthless Records', was picked up for a joint national release by the Marietta, GA based label Gray Dot Records and distributed through Diamante Distribution. |
