Artist History Mr. Anderson first discovered his vocal talent at the age of 10, when he wrote his first song as a way to woo a classmate in elementary school. He didn't get the girl, but he did find his life's destiny. Since that day, he has been in and out of many different singing groups that he helped to start. In 1995 after leaving the North Carolina-based R&B group Debonaire, he made the decision to become a solo artist. The name "Mr. Anderson" was bestowed upon him by Malcolm Freeney, a former manager who always commented on how Mr. Anderson's fans would never be able to guess his age because of his deep speaking voice, his demeanor, and his mature look.
