Artist History
Keith Bartels and Todd Everett formed the band in 1998, as "an alternative to doing something responsible with their lives". The two originally met at a jam session held in the unfurnished, yet charming, living room of acid-jazz-vibraphonist Aaron Mars. That first jam raged ferociously for hours, and judging by the number of neighbor kids who had suctioned their faces to all of the windows around the house, it sounded pretty damn good! Bartels & Everett have played from San Diego, L.A., and San Francisco to as far away as Moscow, in their former bands Flatten Manhattan, Fuse Box, See Spot Groove, and Clockwork, which received radio airplay and CMJ chart activity, while the bands shared stages with No Doubt, The Gin Blossoms, Stone Temple Pilot, King Missile, Buck O' Nine, Skankin' Pickle, and a TON of cool local bands. |
