Artist History
Egypt emerged at the end of the millenium from a small organization that put ontological-paranoid practices into a faith. The music is noise, but the noise is a signal. Using some members of New York City's No Neck Blues Band, we lived in the woods for 6 months developing our sounds. We performed a ritual on July 23, 1998, on the day that Sirius is closest to earth -- traditionally considered the ancient Egyptian New Year. This became the first track of our first album. |
