Artist description CHINAFRICA is a group, which is dramatic in its presentation, combining the ancient cultures of Africa and China in a Caribbean setting. Their music is a combination of Reggae and Rock. In fact, they call their music "Reggae Metal". The group exudes mystery and mysticism.CHINAFRICA is visually dynamic and exciting. Group members wear traditional garments representing various Asian and African cultures, including Chinese Emperor's robes, Ninja costumes, the current Afrocentric B-boy look, east and west African garb, and ancient Egyptian.CHINAFRICA is greatly influenced by the music, style and imagery of Earth, Wind and Fire in their early days. Their live performance is extreme and dramatic with lots of effects including smoke and fire. CHINAFRICA'S logo is a dragon and a lion coming out of one body; just as intense is their musical presentation. Hard-hitting bass merges with heavy rock guitar with Wayne Chin's smooth voice, creating a psychedelic effect. All of the members of the group are instrumental in creating, writing and producing the music of CHINAFRICA. They have played independently and jointly with some of the most prominent musicians in the world, including Eek-a-mouse, Frankie Paul, Yellow Man, Sugar Minot, Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, Inner Circle, Creole, Meditations, Israel Vibrations, Supercat, Safi Abdullah, Lion Force, Culture, Pablo Moses, and Mickey Dread.
