Artist History
I started using samples as a way to create original music. I'm not a musician, but I was still attracted to the idea of making music, and with technology and sampling, I have found it to be a very pleasurable creative outlet. |

Press Reviews
"Apoplexia (Small Comfort): This guy takes everything we know about the genre, polishes it, and then polishes it some more. The result is a good track that dosen't break any new ground but is fun to listen too anyway. The start of the track is very strong and once the BDs kick in you really want to shake that booty all over the place. This is electronica par excellence. Standard boom-boom drums but exceptional synths. Also great ending, something very rare indeed in today's electronic music scene. Highs: Synths are god. Lows: Drums are, uh, not god. Overall: 90%. This is the most refined piece of electronica you will find anywhere, guaranteed." -DJWicked. "Entrancing breakbeat affairs evoke introspective moods while summoning up bad memories. A rewarding listen for open-minded progressive types." -Melissa P. from Listen.com. Not really a press review, but a comment: "You can stop creating this AWESOME music any day now... You're consuming my music listening time! ;-) Keep it up,'plexia!" -Mr. Niles. Plus, on April 25th 2000 and from May 3rd to May 6th, "Small Comfort" and "The Way Out" occupied the #1 and #2 positions (respectively) on the local charts for Moncton, New-Brunswick! Woohoo! "The Way Out - Shodan Remix has also occupied the top of the charts in Moncton upon release (Oct. 2000), so has "Assesment" (Nov. 2000) and "Phantom Pulse" (Jan. 2001) |
