Artist History 57stitch is a Minneapolis based band that released their first full-length recording in the summer of 2000. The band was welcomed by many college radio stations and charted numerously in the CMJ reports. A large local fan base was established thru airplay on regional heavyweight FM stations 93X and 104.1. Weekend headlining status was instantly attained as the band delivered its high-energy rock performances in major "A" clubs throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The local TV/Media featured 57stitch regularly and the band received glowing reviews in Pulse magazine. The next year and a half saw the band evolve into a tightly focused high-energy machine. In the summer of 2002 the members decided to concentrate their collective energy on the writing and recording of new material. Enter Producer Matthew Kirkwold. Matt saw in the band a live energy that had to be harnessed and put to tape. 57stitch began working on numerous demos for their second release. After months of arduous work it was time to begin the actual recording. With Matt at the helm and engineer Todd Fitzgerald pushing faders, 57stitch took their new sound to Oarfin Studios in Minneapolis. The result of which is a much more aggressive sound with current pop/rock sensibilities. The band successfully captured an inviting blend of melodic guitar/vocals while drawing on their heavier influences from the past. Self described as a "massive wall of power you can sing in the shower!" The current hard rock climate is void of the guitar heroes that once roamed the stage with a swagger and attitude. Remember solos? They’re back and they’re pissed! Hop in, sit down, and buckle up for the ride of your life. A ride, which is, 57stitch! It will only hurt for a moment.
