Artist description
Anvil.Chorus, ex-sound designer for Weapons Factory Software and current MP3 artist, is the frontman of the band. Friends and other artists are brought in from time to time to fill in the gaps. Currently, the music posted here reflects Anvil's "Techno" side, but soon will be filled with his overall Industrial vision in his music. Soon to come "Something's Disturbing" and the "4-Track Trash Chronicles". "Initial Burning" has been striken from the market due to lack of interest(with good reason). :-) |

Artist History
Anvil was born in Columbus Ohio in 1970. For four years after his birth, his family moved around the East Coast until his father landed a professorship in Sociology at the University of Kansas and his mother later became administrator for KU's Telecommunications. He has resided in Lawrence ever since. During this time, Matthew created several songs and comedy skits on cassette tape and reel-to-reel. At the age of 15, he threw himself into the world of midi programming, learning anything and everything he could on his own. During these years he came to rely on himself to create fantastic pieces that reflect his vision of something elsewhere or out of reach.Anvil also worked illegally as a studio sound producer for KJHK college radio for almost two years, where he learned to create complex recording structures and how to DJ. In recent years he has been the head sound designer for Weapons Factory software, as well as the head of its music division.Matthew is currently producing his first published material as a freelance composer for Prodigal Publishing Group out of New York. The soundtrack for Underworld role-playing game is slated for release in "?" of 2000. Check out it progress at www.prodigalpublishing.com or www.mp3.com/ThePCP. |
