Artist History Stroud has made a living as a DJ, Dance Event Promoter, and Record Dealer since 1995. In 2000 he added Producer, Remixer, and Record Label Owner to his resume. He has performed as a DJ in 10 states and DC: on the Atlantic Coast from CT to FL, and as far a field as Seattle, WA. The year 2002 sees the seventh release on his record label Mining Vinyl Records which has featured himself along with six or more other artists from the United States. One of his recent tracks has been licensed to the short film Phreakers. Stroud also was one of the second place finishers in the Groove Armada I See You Baby remix contest held in 2001 and a second place finisher in Mixer Magazine United States of Trance DJ Mix contest in 2002. With around 1000 public appearances in his career (including six appearances at D.C.s legendary Buzz, opening for Steve Lawler at the last one) and over 200 in 2001, the parties he has played at and the national and international DJs he has played with are too numerous to name. He is best known for playing a variety of House, Trance, and Techno, but he has records of almost every variety in his vast collection. He has also had a dance radio show the Electronic Era on Charlottesville 91.9 WNRN for about five years and is an Essential Beats reporter. Expect a lot of music to be coming out of Stroud’s studio this year.
