Artist History Shenerah are from Sweden, from a town called Vänersborg and was formed in 1997 under the name “ Adoration “ later on “ Gateway “ and finally “ Shenerah “. From the beginning Shenerah was Dan Cardesjö – Vocals, Magnus Bergman – Guitar, Marcus Käck – Bass and Ulf Eriksson – Drums. The band began to play Iron maiden covers with mixed success. Soon also guitarist Gustav Ljungberg and keyboardplayer Jörgen Thorsson joined the band and it was time to write own material. The influences were and are bands such as Helloween, Iron Maiden and newer forms of Heavy metal.The first year wasn´t so good and in the autumn of 98, Magnus decided to leave the band. Three weeks later the band had a gig and the search for a new guitarist had begun…Eventually Kenny Bryngelson was found and he had the same serious attitude as the rest of the band. The number of rehearsals increased and so did the gigs.In the spring of 1999 the band decided to record their first demo. “ Morning Light “, which have been sold in about 100 copies and the response were both good and bad.Later on the band decided that the progressive direction, which can be heard on “Morning Light “ is not quite what the band wanted to do. Therefore a bunch of new songs were rehearsed in the summer/autumn and in February the band went to the studio to record what was going to become “ Metal of Honour “The band hasn’t got a keyboardplayer anymore since Jörgen left the band to study drama. “ Metal of Honour “ have received a lot of positive response and in the beginning of this year the band will contribute with their song “ Higher level of life “ on a CD with various artists called “ Power from the Blade “ which will be released by the American record company, JCM Records. Shenerah are working on there second demo wich will be released this autumn.

Press Reviews If drummer Ulf Eriksson continues to write songs like "Higher Level Of Life", i will with joy follow this bands future. Scream Magazine 7.5/10 Tombstone Fanzine Cool Swedish band playing in the "true" or traditional metal style, but their approach is actually quite unorthodox. There's apparently a bit of prog in their lineage, and while not immediately apparent there are enough curves thrown in this tempo-shiftig number to satisfy those looking for something more cerebral than the old swords n' leather aesthetic. They don't sound like anyone I can think of, definately a good thing - check out all their songs if you like this, they're all pretty unique Metal Bonanza Station If you like Helloween you like this. Emerald Sword Station Awesome Progressive Metal tune, these guys rock it hard. Lots of Talent. The Blacklyst...a Blitzkrieg of Hard Rock/Metal Station
