Shay Foley is a 21-year old guitar virtuoso just coming out of Geneseo, IL. Strongly influenced by guitar technicians such as John Petrucci and Joe Satriani, and stylistically influenced by artists such as Gary Hoey and Danny Gatton, Shay plays a mixture of hard rock, blues, fusion, and metal. |

Artist History
Shay Foley has been playing guitar for eight years. Having learned the instrument from expert guitar player Paul DePauw, Shay now maintains a busy schedule of schooling, recording, playing live, and just playing out. Shay has himself taught the instrument for 6 years, at times having as many as 40 students at once. Currently Shay keeps himself busy playing studio sessions and playing live as much as possible. Shay has been a champion in the QC's greatest guitarist contest two years in a row and a finalist three years running. Shay also has been a finalist in Berklee's prestigious "Greatest Guitarist" contest the past two years, currently ranking among the top 100 guitar players of the over 4000 entries. Shay Foley is an official Hamer USA endorser, and plays Hamer Guitars, Fender & Mesa-Boogie Amps, and uses Peavey electronics excusively. |
