Artist History
Sage Canyon was formed in early 1999 when Michael Lybarger (who had previously worked as the head carpenter building Gary?s recording studio, Sound Imagery) asked Gary to put together a makeshift group of session players to perform at a school benefit. After only two rehearsals (one being the sound check before the show) they had found a wonderful, harmonious synergy, and the answers to all of life?s questions. Actually, they just found that they worked well together and had a good time. After several lineup changes, and more performances including another benefit (this time for St. Jude), they decided to begin work on their first album, ?Down This Road?.
