Artist History
Rick performs the National Anthem on
electric guitar, center court, for the
Philadelphia 76rs,a position he has
held for the past five seasons.
They are proud to be from Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania and can often be
spotted at historic Penn's Landing
or visiting their favorite watering hole.
Afterlife has an extensive catalog of
independent releases the most recent
being Music to Suffer By in 2000
which contains the ever popular
Sick Sad World, a parody of
These Boots titled These Toots
written by Chris, the acoustic
Hate Crime, the instrumental
Burr Fright written by Rick,
and the Rascals cover How Can I be Sure.
Released in 1998 was Afterlife
which featured Glass Ceiling a song
that won the band critical acclaim
and had the band featured on
Fox TV 29 Eagles Game Day Live.
In 1996 they released Simplinteresting
a mixture of hard rock, funk, and
banshee style vocals that helped build
a solid and fundamental foundation.
Currently they are in the process
of another release and as of now is
untitled. Songs that will be appear
on the next c.d. include Face Front
(you know that I got your back) is
sure to be the first of several singles,
Kick Ass and Galaxy all three
written by Rick who says these are
some of the best songs I have ever
written, they show an intelligent
energy that I have been looking for.
Outcast and Hang On whose lyrics
were penned by friend Tom D. and music
by Rick are fresh new directions
for the band. oo oo ahh is another
classic written by Chris with lyrics
that are simple, clear and funny.
