Artist History I was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to the U.S. at the tender age of 5. Coming from a musical family, my love for music was there since I could remember. But nothing prepared me for what I heard my first night in New York City on WABC radio. It was Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and I was never the same again. This music had such power and passion that I was overwhelmed. I picked up my first guitar in 1975, and began a 25 year romance that has not lost any of its passion. I have owned various instruments over the years and have loved them all as one would love a child. But my two favorite instruments were my first "real" guitar, a beautiful black Ibanez Iceman and my current love, my Fender Eric Clapton model Strat. My musical influences began with bands like Led Zeppelin, The Guess Who, and Jimi Hendrix. Then Kiss, Rush and Van Halen came into my world and changed it again. Imagine those groups as one of your first concerts! The eighties exposed me to a whole slew of guitar virtuosos such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Morse, Tony McAlpine, and George Lynch. And I enjoyed such great hard rock bands as Queensryche and Whitesnake. I've been a fan, session player, performer, producer, engineer, in some capacity most of my adult life. In college, I studied and majored in music theory. I was fortunate enough to learn from great jazz teachers like Vincent Bredice. But my passion was moving towards classical guitar. I've also had the honor of playing with some great musicians over the years. For the last 15 years, I've made my home in Atlanta. I orignally came here to study recording engineering, but quickly fell in love with this fine city and its people. Peace...
