Artist History Jamaican-Born, Canadian-Bred, New York-livin' Witness the manifest of an undeniable vocalist in times saturated with copy cats and clones. "For me, music grows from experience, wisdom, knowledge and overstanding from God. I'm mentally and physically music. All I have left to give is love. Music is life, and life is giving. What I'm bringing to life is vibes, style and melody in these time of revelation." The seed of Melodic's music was planted in his soul from birth, and rooted in St.Thomas, Jamaica. As he realized the mystic of music and its manifestation, he began taking various elements of his influences (from classic reggae to modern hip hop) and molded them into his own original style. Melodic gives what he takes from life inspiration through his music. His biggest inspirations are Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey, Curtis Mayfield, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill slick rick and the Roots. He has been on stage with Tupac, Salt-n-Peppa, Mos Def, DMX and Buju Banton. Recent performances include NYC's Culture Club, S.O.B.'s, Lion's Den, Elbow Room, Wetlands, Spiral Lounge etc. He has also been featured in the DMX's video 'What's my Name?', Maxwell's video 'Let's Not Play the Game' and magazines such as 'Stuff', 'Blender' and 'SOMO'. Melodic has just released two independent singles -- 'Christine' & 'Higher'. He is currently working on the voice animation of the 'Lyricist Lounge' show called 'Once upon a Rhyme' and finishing his debut album with some of the finest producers in the industry -- CD TATS (Sony Studio), Coptic, who is part of former Puff Daddy ' Hitman' produers Deric(D-dot) Angelettie's Crazy Cat Company and other NYC-based producers.
