Artist description
Taking influence from everything from The 1960's Brit-Rock, Chicago/Delta Blues, Motown/Soul/R&B to Funk, Mellow Down Easy has created a "rhythm and groove" sound all of their own. From catchy hooks and melodies to guitar-driven punch, Mellow Down Easy seems to have no musical boundries standing in their way. Live, Mellow Down Easy doesn't think twice to take a 3 minute song and turn it into a 13 minute climactic-jam. Mellow Down Easy echos a somewhat familiar sound of the past, but, with a new twist for the future. |

Artist History
The band was formed in 1997 by guitarist Andrew Adkins and bassist David Hall. After numerous attempts with different drummers they finally found one in the form of Rodney Russell in the fall of '97. Together the three have been doing what most bands are afraid to do, pave their own road and shy away from any current musical trends. |
