Faced Down is a San Antonio based rock n' roll band that first made its mark when being featured on Texas Tracks on 99.5 KISS with two songs from their self-titled first album still making the show regularly. This rock n' roll quartet has performed at dozens of venues in Texas including The White Rabbit, O Neil's, Sam's Burger Joint, Medieval Knights, Nephew's, Lucy's (San Marcos), Trinity's Laurie Auditorium, The Green Room, Sin 13, Strutters, Banana Joe's, Atlantis, Rusty Nail Saloon, Wildhare's Booze and Adventure (EP), Papa's Cantina (EP) and other venues all over San Antonio's famous Riverwalk. There are 2 Faced Down websites: www.mp3.com/facedown1 and facedown.iuma.com. Both contain music from the three Faced Down albums: their self-titled debut, "More for the Common Good", "Relapse", and the new release "Happy Ending". Faced Down has also been asked to open for such national acts as Better than Ezra, Corey Feldman and the Truth movement, Dust for Life, Eli-Stone, Mike Tramp from White Lion, F8 (featuring former teen idol Leif Garret), Gene Loves Jezabel, Outspoken, and others. Faced Down is also featured on "Staring at the Sun vol. III" compilation CD, which has been distributed to radio stations, record labels, and industry agents all across Texas. The main hook from Faced Down is their inability to be pigeonholed because of the fact that they have so many influences and so many different elements at work. Each member embraces completely different types of music and arts. The most common reaction to Face Down is that each song sounds like a completely different band. In essense, they are. This comes from the fact that material from Faced Down was the product of many, many years of its members in other bands. The end result is a simple, yet technical rock sound that will blow your mind but not go over your head. Faced Down prides itself in their individual ability to play their instruments well but chooses to make the vibe of their songs just as important. Thanks to all our fans in El Paso, San Marcos, and San Antonio for supporting us and motivating us to play loud, beer drinkin', rock and fuckin' roll!!!!!! |
