Artist History
level.9 began on mp3.com in January 1999. His first Drum n' Bass release of Andy's Onion was instantly picked up by mp3.com to be on the first release of the "103 Artists You've Never Heard" compilation and was followedby the "Artists to Invest By" compiltation which featured only 10 songs from over 10,000 to represent mp3.com to its investors. While a steadystream of successes followed, the release of the evangelical jungle track "Bound - Fire in the Sky", proved to be the next big release, shooting straight to #1 in the breakbeat genre and prompting a record contract offer from Amped Records.Feeling the time and situation was not right, level.9 continued on alone, continuously changing his studio and his sound. A long time has passed since .9 has released anything...until now. The release of the 8 song CD "Blurring the Division" has arrived, This newest CD featuresthe amazing expanse of level.9's creative abilities ranging from floor pounding Goa Trance to smooth, dark Downtempo, to heart racing Jungle. Level.9 has returned. |
