Artist History
Phantom Fear is an all-original hard rock band out of Kansas City Missouri. The “Fear” was founded in the summer of 1998. Founding members Jon Baskind (lead guitars), Victor Pena (bass) and Justin Perkins (vocals) teamed up and began writing songs together. Shortly there after Cameron Fitzmaurice (drums) and Jonathan “Heuy” Heuton found their way into the family and Phantom Fear was born! The band has been playing continuously since its inception. Pretty Old school way of building a fan base, but that is what they do best … play live! The intensity of a Phantom Fear show is what’s most appealing about this band. From the thunderous rhythm section compliments of Victor and Cameron, to the screaming edged guitar work courtesy of Jon and Heuy, and the in your face Vocals (we have a singer that actually sings!) that Justin belts out night after night, Phantom Fear slams the pedal down hard and doesn’t stop for nothing! Many influences comprise the musical diversity of this band. Everything from Metallica to Kiss, to Staind and Pantera makes for quite a unique sound that separates this band from many others. In a day and age when “growling” vocals and simplistic d-tuned progressions are the rage, Phantom Fear writes and performs Hard Rock with a certain maturity not found in many bands today. |
