Artist History
Long before Uncle Tupelo started filtering Hank Williams through Husker Du, Mark played guitar in a roots-rock/garage band called the Sapphires. Since that band broke up in Austin after playing its final show in front of Doug Sahm and three drunk UT coeds at the Continental Club, Mark has been looking for just the right band for his raw guitar pop and quiet country ballads. What a moron. Now he's doing it all on his own with a new record called "Crooked Pictures". |
 |
Group Members
On "Crooked Pictures" Mark's voice and guitar are accompanied by Steve Ross and Peter Davis of J-200 on bass and drums, Eddie Torrez of Milhous on keyboards and Gus Friedlander of Whiskey Hollow on mandolin. |

Press Reviews
One of these days Mark's going to run into someone who doesn't know he's joking. Then he's really going to get his *ss kicked. --Jack Rohan |
