Artist History
itch began as a four piece band consisting of members guitarist Nathon Wilson, vocalist Mark Gosen, bassist Mike Charette, and drummer Pat Shaw. Pat Shaw was only with the band for a short time as he had commitments to another band named Cloud 9, but the song Segregation was born from the playing of these band members. A new drummer was found, named Mike Spradlin. With Spradlin, the band created a few other songs which were very early versions of Biological Bastard, Beneath Me, Afraid, and The Eminent Demise of Our Reality. The band took a years hiatus and parted ways with members Mike Spradlin and Mike Charette. When the band was reformed a year later, Nathon's brother Gavin Wilson took over the drumming position, bassist Jared Obendorfer picked up the bass, and Mario Mosqueda became Nate's dueling guitarist. This was the line-up until just recently, when Jared unfortunately got fucked over by his parents and was made to move to Wisconsin. Luckily for the band, Sean Galaviz, a friend of Jared's filled in his spot, and is now a permanent member of itch. itch gleans their sound from a vast array of sub-genres of heavy music. Influences include the now famed Korn, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Sepultura, etc. In order to truly understand itch's music, one must attend or see one of their off the wall live shows. These are the staple of who itch is. |
