Artist description
Emmanuel Kembe is a political refugee from Sudan in Africa. Driven out of Sudan because of his popular protest songs, he fled to the United States. Here he continues to work for freedom in his homeland. He uses his powerful songs to attract attention to the despair and desolation of his people as they suffer under a crushing reign of terror. Despite the horrors that have inspired him to write, most of his songs remain upbeat and inspiring reggae flavored anthems which will leave you hard pressed to hold still. |
