Artist description Brett Rosenberg turns out two-and-a-half-minute pop-symphonies at an alarming rate, and at a quality seldom matched in today's rock field. With a voice that alternates between a "righteous sneer" and a delicate swoon and guitar work that recalls Townshend back when he still had the stomach for speed, 21-year old Brett is far from the same old singer-songwriter shit. Rather, the Cambridge, Massachusetts resident recalls the passion and power of mid-sixties pop, when it seemed as though anything could be said and done within two-and-a-half minutes or seven inches of thick, black vinyl. However, refusing to merely adopt the sound and compositional conventions of the period, Brett choses to forge ahead and use the musical language of that era to create something new that is as earnest, honest and communicative as rock can be. if the beatles were "four english elvis presleys," then Brett just may be one skinny, jewish-american Kinks. ***************************************************

Press Reviews ...my first impression is that this guy is all of the Pills rolled up into one no-frills, adolescent-skinned, curly-haired, unassuming guy. The young Mr. Rosenberg is full of superior melodies, natural-sounding, creative chord changes, cool arrangements, sharply played guitar rhythms, and real endings for each excellently written song. He's a producer's dream in that his performance implies the sound of a full band. I could clearly imagine every drum fill, the heavily distorted electric guitars entering on cue, and the background harmonies filling the choruses....I believe Brett has a career in front of him.
