Press Reviews By Heidi Drockelman of Indie-Music ... "Good bands aren't that hard to find. I run across them every day. But great bands, well, that's a different story. It could be that this will result in an insert-foot-into-mouth review sometime down the road, but I hardly doubt it. I know a great band when I hear one. HEADSOFULL is a glorious record that provides an absolutely perfect showcase for a power-pop band that should be in every radio station and record store in sight. A dynamic beginning and climactic ending allows the songs, and bobfields' talent, to unfold at will before an unsuspecting pop audience. It's very clear after a few songs that this record isn't a fluke, a well-calculated placement of two good songs to hook in record buyers, or a stupendous production cover-up. The material drips with confidence, attitude, and proficient instrumentals to create a lush, diverse, melodic sonic sound. The sound, combined with interesting lyrics and complex melodies, is reminiscent of Sparklehorse, the Replacements, Screaming Trees/Mark Lanegan, and a hint of Blur, all artists who respect and respond to harmony and noise, making both seem easy in the wake of their unique sounds. There are many "singles" on this record, enough to make any record executive blush and see dollar signs, and they translate well for live delivery. Bobfields never plays beyond their limits, which stretch farther than most bands can even conceive of. Their diversity, shown with "More Than Me", which hints at Spanish flavor and smooth vocals, combined with the punk rock attitude and tripping guitar work on "Road Map" gives a glimpse of the many directions that this band can take in their future musical journeys. "Acrylic", "Tracing Paper", and "Save It Up For Fall", however, show polish and an ability to deliver the goods. Wherever they are, bobfields is ready. There is a lot of room to grow, but HEADSOFULL captures them in a pristine pop moment, from start to finish."
