    Artist description
Below are the samples from "The Bad Side of Love" CD EP and "To Hell With Las Vegas" CD EP, but the style is evolving once again in the forthcoming CD "Dystopia". Moving away from the electronic-industrial edge and back to Betty's punk rock roots. Scandalous, dangerous and just plain evil. Betty once called the "Posterchild for Censorship." by imusic.com. Betty X is a gutsy singer with a strong voice and intense stage presence from avante garde spoken word/performance art to sex kitten coquettishness. Her vocals range from banshee shrieks in the vein of Diamanda Galas to new wave/punk of Nina Hagen's yodeling and growls. Yet, sultry and surreal like a martini dry. Her voice has been compared to Exene Cervenka of X, Siouxsie Sioux, Cyndi Lauper, Lene Loverich, Wendy O Williams (The Plasmatics) and Blondie by her fans. Live shows have been compared to L7 and 45 Grave.

    Artist History
If you are from Seattle, then you are most likely already aware of her exploits as the front woman for the sexy performance art band Salon Betty back in 1993-1997. Salon Betty pioneered the sleaze-a-billy scene in Seattle and paved the way for a whole new era in performance art bands. In 1997, Betty decided to break free with a new sound and image. After a much needed hiatus from Salon Betty, she teamed up with some of the hottest talent in Tampa: Vinnie Saletto of The Genitorturers fame to co-write and produce. "It's time to cause a much needed noise in the world. It's time to put the SEX and ROCK back into rock n' roll," Betty says about her new project. Betty X is darker, more deviant and disturbing than the light hearted retro-rockabilly music of Salon Betty. A fact that may leave some fans spinning in the wake of its arrival. "As for our upcoming album, all I can say is this; Hey baby...it's time to rumble!" You better believe it. ________________ Betty's other projects/guest vocals: Pin-Up Gal on Go Kustom Pin-Girl TRading Cards, "Can't You Hear Me" with d.A Sebasstain of Kill, Switch...Klick 2002. Jeremy Gloff and The Cold Band, guest vocals on "America's Lonely Tonight" on Blue Champagne, Champagne (sham-pain) Seven Deadly Sips CD with Jeremy Gloff and RhondaK on tracks "Bohemian Sekt" and "Champagne Blonde", Enemy of God back-up vocals on "Love Missile #1", sampled on hip-hop song by Red Tide, RNA Liquid Collaborations, 1999-Present. Celestial Spirits, 1998. Wyrmwoode, Prague, CZ 1997. Shadow Light Guest Vocals on "Leave" (Electro-Industrial Dance Song) 1996. Real Time project with Kristoffer Larson of Information Society. Vocals and lyrics by Zoe Kaylor aka "Betty X" for "Liquored Water" on C.A.D II CD Compilation (Ambient)-received favorable review in Billboard Magazine. Starred as art-snob "Devaki" in indie film "In Your Blood" about vampires. "Psycho-tropolis" cable series 1996. Future collaborations:Avante-Garde Spoken Word Artists; Annie Vox,and RhondaK of NakedPoetry.com, and Best of the Bay Singer/songwriter "indie enigma" - Jeremy Gloff.
