    Artist History
1995 -The band started during the summer and we wrote a couple of songs. At that time the name of the band was "Retarded Crowd". We had our rehearsals in the basement of one of our friends house. We had our first gig in autumn that year. It took place in a disco!1996 - We wrote more songs, changed tha name to "Ape Grape" and moved to a new rehearsalroom (a new basement!). We didn´t stay there for so long. We moved again, this time to a big house in the village where Daniel lives (Grönbo). We had five gigs with different quality, "Rock For Moc" summer 1996 was one of them. We recorded our first demo "Ape Tape" in autumn 96, 13 songs with pretty poor quality, which we recorded live in our rehearsalroom. 1997 - We had alot more gigs and played better too. In the spring of 97 we had one gig a week and ruled the place. One gig to remember is when we were in Örnsköldsvik and did a very good show. All our friends came up to sing the last song with us and there were about 20 people on stage. A few days later back in Lindesberg we recorded our second demotape "Thickionary". Eight songs with much better sound quality than the earlier. Then we changed rehearsalroom again. (!)1998 - We didn´t have so many gigs this year but we progressed as band and changed our musical direction a bit. We played outside Lindesberg alot more than earlier too, for example Södertälje. We lost our drummer to Japan in August. He went there studying for a year in japanese (stupidass!) which he didn´t understand a word of. Anyway we replaced him during this year with Olof Mogren. But it was of course difficult to practice without our ordinary drummer and we didn´t produce so many new songs. 1999 - We did a recording of the song "Closer", which participated on the compilation "Best of Bergslagen". It was released during spring -99 and we played on the releaseparty (without Daniel and Martin). In june this year Daniel came home from Japan an now he was really good at japanese! The others didn´t understand a shit of what he was saying but it was funny to hear him.During the summer we had a few gigs and they were really good. The gig on "Augustibuller" (exactly a year since the last time we played together) was a sucess.2000: In march we recorded a new demo containing 3 new songs. It was recorded digitally in our rehearsalroom and it sounds great.
