Artist description
Hailing from Norfolk, Nebraska, five piece band VITO AND THE V-TONES have been sharing their musical vision with the masses for some years now. All five members combined have amassed over fifty years of playing experience. From the Midwest to New Orleans to Los Angeles to Maryland to Jamaica, the V-TONES are seasoned yet young and hungry for new challenges. This band writes infectious, soulful, smart rock-and-roll. There is such a broad range of influences among the V-TONES that it's hard to pinpoint or compare the music. Just think Tom Waits meets Freddie King and you'll be on the right track. Though he dislikes the term, leader Vito Cole is "blue-eyed soul" to the nth degree. Many times people have been stunned to hear "THAT voice from THAT guy". Add to the mix Jason Ferguson and Korey Anderson (two guitar players raised on everything from John Coltrane to Buck Owens), Randy Rutten on bass and Jesse Harris on drums (a rhythm section so damned bad-ass tight you'd swear Satan himself hand-picked them) and you have one VITO AND THE V-TONES. They play their hearts and souls out as if their lives depended on it. Players like this don't really have a choice in life, they simply have to play. A great rock band from Nebraska? You better believe it! They'll be taking over the world and doing their rock and roll thang at a venue near you, so catch them while you can. You won't be disappointed! |
