    Artist description
For over one decade i was fascinated in electronic music of artists such as Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, the formation "software" and also the instrumental sounds of Peter Seiler. This wide spectrum of New Age, Chillout and Dance forms the base for artful arranged Songs, which influenced deZent. Itīs sounds, itīs melodies, itīs music full of pure Fantasy, which letīs you slide into strange worlds

    Press Reviews
16.04.2002 Karl Kalbaugh/Ensign Didgeridoo about deZent: deZent's music not only engages the mind, but the heart also. The PBS series "Cosmos", which aired in the US in the early 1980's did a couple of things for me. First, it inspired me about space... an infinite realm of beauty. It also introduced me to a new realm of music that I found equally inspiring. I found the music of deZent pulling me back to that time and place. But only for a short while, because deZent goes beyond the early Vangelis heard on "Cosmos". deZent uses rich orchestrations and modulations that vaguely remind me of Dvorak's Largo movement from his "New World" symphony -- the opening of which always sends shivers down my spine. And likewise with deZent - and he does not merely rely on spacey synth sounds to take you to new worlds, but moves you with actual musical content. deZent's compassion for the world shines through his music. A broad statement, I know, but one can sense it. His music not only engages the mind, but the heart also. If "Cosmos" was ever re-made for 21st century viewers, I think deZant would do a stellar score (pun intended). So, come on board: one only travels on a starship, but one voyages with deZant.
